In the on-going campaign aiming to cleanse Sikh institutions from all wrongdoings, the Dal Khalsa on the fifth consecutive day instead of handing over the memorandum to Joginder Singh Vedanti released an open letter addressed to the Sikh Nation at Akal Takht.

The strong jatha of 101 activists of Dal Khalsa led by its senior leader Harcharanjit Singh Dhami performed ardas at Akal Takht pledging to carry on with a mission to liberate Sikh institutions from ‘wrong hands’ since they had ruined it. Mr Dhami was accompanied by Kanwar Pal Singh, Sarbjit Singh Ghuman, Baldev Singh Ajnala, Gurdip Singh Kalkat, Ranbir Singh and others.

Dal Khalsa jatha of 101 members performed Ardas at Akal Takht Sahib in its on-going campaign against misuse of Sikh institutions by Badal and his cotrie.
Mr Dhami addressed the gathering at Akal Takht and called upon the Sikhs to build an appropriate atmosphere for the appointment of the Jathedar of the Akal Takht who would be acceptable to all the sections of the Sikh Nation. We, the Sikhs must realize our duties towards the community and hand over the reigns of the Sikh institutions in ‘save hands’.

Taking an independent stance, the Dal Khalsa leader said that they had not given memorandum to the jathedar because Gaini Joginder Singh has lost the faith of the community. So there was no point in appealing before him”. He further clarified this stand was of his party and not the entire constituents of Gurdwara Sudhar Lehar.

Hitting out at the electorate, he said the voters could not escape the responsibility of the denigration of the Sikh institutions as it was they who elect wrong and unfit members to the SGPC.

“We have to over throw the system that had produced persons like Parkash Singh Badal, Bibi Jagir Kaur, Avtar Singh Makkar, Bhai Jasbir Singh Rode, Gaini Puran Singh, Gaini Joginder Singh etc. He asked the community to help in reforming the Gurdwaras as their managements were not in “clean hands”.

Targeting Akali Dal for its alliance with BJP, the Dal Khalsa reminded the voters not to hand over the political power to those who instead of acquiring energy and strength from the Panth had surrendered their ideology before Brahminical forces.
