The reaction of the Indian government on the killing of Baluch leader Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti by the Pakistan government is ‘deceitful’.
Practice what you preach, Dal Khalsa tells Indian leaders

Wednesday August 30th, 2006
The statement by officials of the foreign office that “military force can never solve political problems” lacks credibility and sincerity. India has separate set of standards for different people and nations and this has been thoroughly exposed.

The remarks of the government are a reflection of its double standards. Why this sense did not prevail on New Delhi when its rulers ordered the storming of Darbar Sahib and Akal Takht in June 1984, by the Indian army? What Pakistan has done today, India did 22 years ago by using military force against its people demanding their legitimate rights. Both are wrong.

Dal Khalsa is of the considered opinion that military force can never solve political problems. No force can crush the aspirations of a struggling people. The irony of the situation is that Indian leaders don’t practice what they preach. The government of India’s suggestion of a peaceful dialogue to address the grievances and aspirations of the Baluchi people is a very good step in conflict resolution, but the Sikhs would like to ask why the government of India does not advocate and follow a similar approach while dealing with the Sikhs, Kashmiris and the Nagas.

Better late than never. Like all good governments, the Indian government too must negotiate with all ethnic, regional and religious peoples who are dissatisfied and disenchanted with the Brahaminical hegemony of New Delhi.
